Richard Ha, D.O.
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Research & Development, Producer
Richard Ha, D.O. is the AACAP Asian American Caucus Co-Chair 2023-2027. He is the Youth and Family Lead Psychiatrist at Ventura County Behavioral Health. He is a core faculty member for the psychiatry residency program at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California. He volunteers for Jungto Society, a nonprofit Buddhist organization. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic Child and Adolescent Residency and Fellowship. He also helps operate Stanford CHIPAO in Southern California.

Ivy Song, M.D.

Dr. Ivy Song completed her bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley and her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Southern California, graduating with academic honors and a Gold humanitarian award. Dr. Song completed her post-graduate training at UC Davis and UC Irvine, and is a staff psychiatrist at the California Department of State Hospitals. In 2022, Dr. Song participated in the CHIPAO Sacramento performance and presented multiple publications based on the data collected. She is passionate about Asian American mental health and has spoken on topics such as the use of native language in psychotherapy and the application of anime in supporting mental health among Asian teens.

Haiyan Yang M.S., M.A.

Web Development Consultant
Haiyan Yang is a senior software engineer at Cisco Systems. She earned her M.S. in Computer Science from UC Davis and has worked across multiple technical domains for companies including IBM, ESRI and Riverbed Technology. Since 2019, she has specialized in full-stack web development, creating efficient and user-centered applications. In addition to her engineering work, Haiyan has engaged in extensive therapeutic and reflective practice over the past decade. She is passionate about contributing her technical expertise to projects that promote mental health awareness and accessibility.
Zander Kim, B.A.

Script Writer
Zander Kim is a writer and producer based in Los Angeles, and is Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Barley Field literary magazine, a space for emerging writers and visual artists. Zander was a screenwriter for the Stanford CHIPAO 2021 AACAP Advocacy and Collaboration Project.

Mindy Kim, M.D.

Mindy Kim, MD is a psychiatry resident at UC San Diego (Community track) and Medical Student Resident Committee's Liaison to the Asian America Caucus at AACAP. She is interested in community psychiatry, immigrant mental health, and advocacy, with aspirations to pursue child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship.

Michael Mouawad B.S.

Michael is a fourth-year medical student at Western University of Health Sciences COMP and a UC Irvine graduate, where he majored in Biological Sciences. He is currently applying to psychiatry residency with a particular interest in child and adolescent psychiatry

Ellie Nu Bui, BS, CPH

Ellie Nu Bui is a fourth-year medical student enrolled in the dual DO/MPH program at Kansas City University and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Born and raised in Viet Nam, she immigrated to Southern California during high school and attended UC Irvine, where her experiences navigating cultural and linguistic barriers inspired her commitment to mental health equity. She is applying to psychiatry residency with interests in child and adolescent psychiatry, community psychiatry, and advocacy for AANHPI, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and refugee mental health.

Mia (Sunyoung) Park is a fourth-year medical student at MSU College of Human Medicine. She graduated from UCLA in 2015, earning a BS in Biology. She currently serves as the National Mental Health Director for the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) and Medical Student Liaison for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Medical Students and Residents (MSR) Social Media Committee. She is passionate about normalizing mental health conversations within the AANHPI community and is excited to be part of the Stanford CHIPAO team.
Goeun Lee, B.S.

Goeun is a graduate of Yale University as a Berkeley College Class of 2025 student with a B.S. in Psychology with Honors Distinction. She was selected as a Yale Global Health Scholar through the Jackson School of Global Affairs. She is currently working as a Postgraduate Associate at Yale School of Medicine, conducting clinical psychology research under Dr. Marc Potenza.

Troy Chung is a dedicated Junior at University Prep Value High School focused on tackling the silent crisis of mental health in the Asian American community. He is drawn to Stanford CHIPAO's innovative theatrical approach for its ability to bridge intergenerational communication gaps and dismantle the "model minority" stereotype. His experience leading the Korean youth group at his local church and advocating for drug prevention with KYCC reflects his commitment to culturally-informed community support.

Jackson Tyler (“J.T.”) Kim is a senior at Campbell Hall. He is dedicated to working on mental health issues, especially for adolescents, and is also a member of the Los Angeles Transitional Age Youth Action Team to promote mental health and policy efforts. His commitment to service-driven leadership has earned him recognition as a DKF Fellow, Carson Scholar, and the Helmsman Leadership Award. He is an avid cellist and combines his passion for music and service in Melody Meals, a nonprofit he co-founded to bring free music concerts to the unhoused communities during mealtimes to further support their emotional health and mental well-being.

Chaeyul Park

Chaeyul Park is a sophomore at Stoney Creek High School who enjoys connecting with his community through writing and leadership. He was the 2024 Korean Unification Golden Bell winner in Chicago, an experience that deepened his appreciation for Korean culture and history. Chaeyul writes for a local newspaper that shares stories and news with the Korean community in Michigan, helping to keep people informed and connected. Through his writing and work as a youth leader, he’s passionate about bringing people together and inspiring pride in Korean identity.

Chaerin Park

Chaerin Park is a Senior at Stoney Creek High School. Her participation in different Korean communities like PUAC and Woori Sori had enhanced her understanding of Korean culture. Through her experience as a Korean Journalism leader, she had listened to many different stories of the people in the Korean community. After listening to stories of others, she got intrigued by CHIPAO's approach to the parent and children communication in the Asian community.

Justin Nguyen, D.O.

Justin Nguyen was a Psychiatry Resident at Community Memorial Hospital at the time he worked on Research & Development of the Stanford CHIPAO program. He aided with subject recruitment and interviews on the Stanford CHIPAO 2021 AACAP Advoacy & Collaboration project, Measurement of Satisfaction of with Stanford CHIPAO in a Virtual Format. He also chaired a presentation on Stanford CHIPAO at AACAAP 2022 in Toronto.

Henry Mark

Professional Actor
Henry Mark is an award-winning actor who was born and raised in Seattle, WA to immigrant parents. Studious and shy as a child, he was forced into his first acting role in grade school as part of a class assignment. Henry played a whimsical French chef defending a pumpkin on trial and surprised his classmates with his comedic chops.
Mr. Mark is trained in the Meisner technique by Robin Lynn Smith, a gifted instructor and founder of Freehold Theatre Lab in Seattle. Mr. Mark has been based in Los Angeles since 2013.
Mr. Mark was an actor for the Stanford CHIPAO 2021 AACAP Advocacy and Collaboration Grant Project.

Claire Bahk

High School Student Researcher & Translator
Claire was a high school student when she initially volunteered for the Stanford CHIPAO program. She worked on subject recruitment, translations, and write up of the research study, Measeurement of Satisfaction with Stanford CHIPAO in a Virtual Format. She also did a poster presentation on this research at the 2024 AACAP annual meeting. Her research was published by the time she was a freshman at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.
